concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are older than 8 years and are supervised. Keep the
appliance as well as the power cord out of reach of children under 8 years.
· Children must not play with the device.
· Only place the appliance on non-flammable, flat and stable surfaces and not near hot plates, gas flames or
other sources of heat and out of the reach of children.
· Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the appliance in a way that nobody can fall over the cord.
· Do not open the lid before the grinding process is finished and the power plug is disconnected.
· Pull the power plug after each use and:
– if the device is not under your direct supervision
– in case of faults during operation
– each time you clean the device
Always pull on the plug and not on the cord.
· Check the power cord for damage prior to each use. Prevent it from becoming pinched or kinked, coming
into contact with warm or hot surfaces, or from chafing against sharp edges. If the power cord is damaged, it
must immediately be replaced. This may only be arranged by the manufacturer, his customer service or a
similarly qualified and authorized specialist.
· Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or other liquids. Do not clean the appliance in the
dishwasher.
· Never use the appliance if you discover damage, if water has penetrated the housing or if the appliance has
been dropped.
· Never attempt to open or repair the appliance yourself. In the event of a malfunction, have the appliance
repaired by qualified experts only! Contact your authorized dealer whenever the appliance is in need of repairs.
· Use original accessories only.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
· Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.
· Remove all packaging material.
· Clean the lid and the collecting container with lid with warm water and a mild detergent.
· Wipe out the bean container and the housing with a soft cloth, slightly moistened if necessary.
· Thoroughly dry all parts off afterwards.
· Attention: Do not use any caustic liquids or abrasive cleaning agents.
USE
· Unwind the cable completely and place the appliance on a suitable surface (not on a metal surface; not on
fabrics, etc.).
· Remove the lid from the coffee bean container, fill in the coffee beans (max. approx. 180 g) and put the lid
back. Make sure there are no foreign bodies in the coffee bean container.
· Make sure that the lid of the collecting container is closed. Allow the container to click into place. For safety
reasons the coffee mill will not function until the collecting container has clicked into place.
· Put the plug into an appropriate socket.
· Choose the degree of grinding by turning the adjustment of grinding degree to the desired position.
· Turn the quantity selector to the desired setting. Depending on the setting selected, you get enough ground
coffee for 2 - 12 cups.
· Press the start button. Grinding ends automatically when the selected amount has been ground.
· Note: Do not adjust the degree of grinding while the motor is running to prevent it from being blocked.
· Wait until the motor has stopped to remove the collecting container. Now you can use the coffee to prepare
your coffee specialties.
