Changing the Diaphragm
u Carefully unscrew the structured
diaphragm
anti-clockwise using
both hands.
v Place the spacers
screw thread of the new structured
diaphragm (same number and
order).
w Screw in the new structured dia-
phragm using both hands
(do not overtighten).
x Press the lip on the edge of the
diaphragm into the groove in the
housing.
Changing the Valve Plates |
Sealings
u Carefully remove the top plate
exposing the valve plates| sealings
.
v Carefully remove old valve
plates| sealings .
w Insert new valve plates| sealings .
Refitting the Pump Head
u Position the top plate
mediate plate according
to guide pin ; securely tighten
screws in a crosswise pattern.
v Remount the pump to the
Baseplate (if applicable).
w Reconnect tubing.
• If the pump does not reach the
desired vacuum after changing dia-
phragms and| or valve plates|
sealings:
u Check whether the spacers
have been replaced onto the
diaphragm screw thread.
v Check the interconnecting pipework
connection between both pump
heads as well as the tubing for leaks.
w Possibly the screws on one of the
pump heads (or both heads) are
insufficiently tightened (carefully
tighten them again crosswise).
