1. Insert the Duracell© Coppertop 9V battery provided, ensure the + and - symbols on the battery and
EQ-1 Reader align (a).
2. Use the enclosed screwdriver to attach and close the battery door (b).
TIP: The ridge on the battery door should lay directly over the + and – symbols and align with the
ridge in the middle of the side of the reader (c).
3. Move the reader mode switch to either Standard or Quick Mode (refer to sections 5 & 6).
