ऀ Take care when lifting and transporting. This accumulator is filled with acid. Avoid
damaging the housing.
ऀ When transporting the accumulator with a motor vehicle, place the accumulator
only on loading areas and not in the passenger cabin.
ऀ When installing the accumulator, make sure that it is inserted as horizontally as
possible.
ऀ Be careful when inserting the accumulator in the compartment provided for this
purpose in the electric fence energiser and solar equipment, as it is possible to
pinch your fingers.
ऀ Make sure that you provide sufficient ventilation before connecting and
disconnecting to allow possible gases to evaporate.
ऀ Ensure correct polarity when connecting the accumulator and device.
ऀ If possible, cover the terminals to avoid short circuits.
ऀ Refer to the operating instructions of your electric fence energiser for the correct
connection of the energiser and accumulator.
ऀ Do not fill VRLA accumulators with water.
ऀ The accumulator is ready for operation when delivered, but recharging with an
accumulator charger may be necessary if the voltage is already below 12 volts.
ऀ Keep accumulator and terminals clean and dry. If necessary, carefully remove any
oxidation layers from the battery terminals with a brass wire brush. We recommend
the use of terminal grease to protect against oxidation.
ऀ Use a suitable cloth, such as an antistatic cloth, to wipe the accumulator.
ऀ The accumulator must not be opened under any circumstances. Never add acid or
distilled water.
ऀ Check the accumulator voltage at regular intervals, it should be between 12-14 volts.
Voltages below 11.4 volts can cause long-term damage to the accumulator. It is
also recommended to use electric fence energisers with integrated deep discharge
protection.
ऀ Only use chargers that are suitable for charging AGM batteries! Additionally, please
read and follow the manufacturer's operating instructions of the charger.
ऀ Charge the accumulator only with one tenth (1/10) of the accumulator capacity
(100Ah with up to 10A charging current, 80Ah with up to 8A charging current).
ऀ Charging may only take place in well-ventilated rooms.
ऀ Ensure correct polarity when connecting the accumulator and charger. Only then
switch on the charger. When finishing charging, disconnect the mains supply or
switch off the charger. Only then disconnect the contacts of the accumulator and
charger.
ऀ If the accumulator is to be store over winter, you need a charger with winter storage
mode.
ऀ Store the accumulator in a dry and normally heated place. Set the charger to
hibernation mode and follow the charging instructions described above.
