The Homelite 12V replacement battery (p/n 207012001) is
compatible with Homelite tools that have a 12V internal bat-
tery. The tool shown is for illustration purposes. Replacement
battery installation instructions are the same for each tool.
TO REMOVE AND RECYCLE FACTORY
INSTALLED BATTERY PACK
See Figure 1.
 Drain the battery by running the tool until it shuts off.
 If applicable, make sure the switch trigger is in the off
position.
 Look for the Phillips head screws near the charging port
to locate the battery compartment door.
 Unscrew the screws and set aside.
 Remove the battery compartment door.
 Pull the battery out of the tool and separate it from the
two wire connectors.
NOTE: Take note of wire locations when removing the
battery.
 Apply tape over the ends of the wire connectors for
battery disposal.
To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose
of batteries properly.
This product contains lithium-ion batteries.
Local, state or federal laws may prohibit dis-
posal of batteries in ordinary trash.
Consult your local waste authority for infor-
mation regarding available recycling and/or
disposal options.
WARNING:
Upon removal, cover the battery pack's terminals with
heavy-duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy
or disassemble battery pack or remove any of its com-
ponents. Lithium-ion batteries must be recycled or dis-
posed of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with
metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit may
result. Keep away from children. Failure to comply with
these warnings could result in fire and/or serious injury.

TO INSTALL REPLACEMENT BATTERY
PACK
See Figure 1.
 If applicable, make sure the switch trigger is in the off
position.
 Locate the two wire connectors in the tool battery
compartment.
 Connect battery wire connectors to the tool wire con-
nectors as shown.
 Insert connected battery into battery compartment.
 Tuck wires around battery so that they fit completely
inside the compartment.
 Replace battery compartment door making sure that
the battery and wires are completely inserted inside the
compartment.
 Secure battery compartment door with Phillips head
screws.
