How to use your Longines
Big Date Calendar watch
This watch is a precise and reliable timepiece intended for daily use. It is
water-resistant and has sapphire crystals. It is fitted with a self-winding
Longines L607 movement.
It has been designed to indicate hours, minutes, seconds and the date.
Functions of the 3 positions of the crown
1. Pushed in
Winding: The natural movement of your wrist automatically winds your
Longines watch, which has a power-reserve of 42 hours. It is only nec-
essary to wind the watch manually if it has not been worn for several
days.
2. Intermediate position
Quick date reset: Turn the crown backwards until the desired date
appears, then push the crown right in. It is necessary to reset the date
at the end of each month that has fewer than 31 days. Push the crown
right in once the date has been reset.

Please Note: To avoid damaging the mechanism the date should not
be adjusted between 20.00 hours and 01.00 hours.
3. Pulled out
Adjusting the time and stop seconds: Pull the crown right out; the
seconds hand will stop. Adjust the time by turning the crown in either
direction. When the watch shows the time given by the speaking clock,
on the radio or on television, push the crown right in.
Important: If your watch stops it should only be repaired by an
approved Longines agent.
Precautions concerning the water-resistant seal
Your Longines watch is water-resistant but the seal may be damaged
without your realising it if the watch is subjected to a shock. The water-
resistant seal should be checked each time the watch undergoes its
regular service.
