First use
Before using the appliance for the first time:
- clean the tongs (2) as specified in the MAINTENANCE chapter.
- start the appliance empty in TIMER (3) position 5 in a well ventilated area to eliminate odours or smoke caused
by any manufacturing residue in the internal parts of the appliance.
Use
Insert the bread slices in the tongs; place the tongs into the slots in the appliance.
To turn the appliance on, plug it in and set the TIMER, noting that in position 1 the appliance turns off after
45 seconds, and for every subsequent number the time increases by 45 seconds up to the MAX 5 position of
around 4 minutes.
The cooking time depends on the thickness and type of bread, and the desired cooking level.
Indicatively:
When the time has elapsed, the appliance will emit a beep. You may now remove the food items by holding the
tongs by their plastic handles.
If you wish to cook again, let the appliance cool down for about a minute.
Disconnect the plug from the socket and let the appliance cool down well before cleaning it.
Empty and clean the crumb collection tray after every use.
For cleaning, extract the tray on the rear of the appliance (1), remove food residue and if necessary wash with
washing up liquid.
The tongs can be cleaned with washing up liquid.
Do not put the crumb collection tray or the tongs in the dishwasher.
In order to clean the appliance, use a soft or slight damp cloth.
Do not use very wet substances, liquids or cloths to prevent water from entering into the appliance and irreparably
damaging it. Never use abrasive sponges to clean..
NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE INTO THE WATER.
