EN: Installation Sheet
Description
SIGA-AA30 and SIGA-AA50 Audio Amplifiers are 30 and
50 watt, dual input, high efficiency, switch mode amplifiers
capable of producing a 25 or 70 VRMS audio signal from a 1 or
25 VRMS input. Typically, channel 1 input is used for alert
signals and channel 2 input for evacuation (EVAC) signals.
Both amplifier models are field-configurable and use two
addresses on the signaling line circuit. Activating the primary
(first) address selects the signal on channel 1. Activating both
addresses selects the signal on channel 2.
Installation
Electrocution hazard. To avoid personal injury or
WARNING:
death from electrocution, remove all sources of power and
allow stored energy to discharge before installing or removing
equipment.
Equipment damage hazard. This product is sensitive
Caution:
to electrostatic discharge (ESD). To avoid damage, follow
accepted ESD handling procedures.
To install the amplifier:
1.
Set JP2 to configure the output voltage for 25 or
70 VRMS. See Figure 1.
2.
Set motherboard JP3 and JP4 to configure the input
voltage for 1 or 25 VRMS.
3.
Set daughterboard JP3 for the required backup tone. See
Figure 1, item 10 for configuration options.

When the jumper pin is installed (default), the amplifier outputs
the signal from TB5 before the internal 1 kHz backup tone. In
backup mode, the amplifier produces the same tone as the
primary amplifiers.
When the jumper pin is not installed, the amplifier outputs the
internal 1 kHz backup tone before the signal from TB5. In backup
mode, the amplifier produces the same tone as the primary
amplifiers.
