INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing a HCPRO Model HCBK-12DC vacuum pump. The HCPRO vacuum pumps are designed for HVAC&R and other related
applications. The HCBK-12DC also is designed to meeting ignition proof standards.
At the heart of this vacuum pump is a high torque inverted controlled BLDC motor and a direct drive vacuum pump mechanism. The following are
additional features on the HCBK-12DC vacuum pump:
- Ignition proof design for use on systems containing flammable refrigerants such as R32 and R1234yf.
- Patented NO MESS Oil Drain system.
- High Torque BLDC motor that utilizes easy slow ramp up start. Eliminates high current draw on start up.
- Integrated Solenoid Valve to prevent the back flow of vacuum pump oil.
- Universal Voltage for 100-240V 50/60Hz operation.
- Ergonomically designed and placed handle for comfort and easy portability.
- 10"integrated power cord to meet safety guidelines for ignition proof design.
- Built in analog vacuum gauge.
- Internally baffled exhaust to minimize oil mist.
- Reinforced base to absorb normal wear and tear on handling the vacuum pump.
- Ultimate vacuum down to 15 microns.
- Gas Ballast valve.
- Oil Sight Glass for easy viewing of oil level and oil contamination (color).
Please continue to read the rest of the manual to prepare the unit for its initial operation. This manual contains important information on the proper
procedures for operating the vacuum pump. Follow all SAFETY INFORMATION, WARINGS, and CAUTIONS provided throughout this manual.
The vacuum pump package contents include:
- One HCBK-12DC Vacuum Pump.
- One exhaust port (maybe already be mounted on the pump).
- One bottle of vacuum pump oil to complete an initial fill.
- One 115V 60Hz 10' locking Power Cord.
- One Operations Manual.
General instructions
ONLY QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL SHOULD OPERATE THIS UNIT. SOME COUNTRIES MAY REQUIRE THE USER TO BE LICENSED. CHECK WITH
YOUR LOCAL AGENCY.
DANGER: Avoid breathing refrigerant vapor and lubricant vapor or mist. Breathing high levels can cause cardiac arrhythmia, unconsciousness, and
suffocation. Always disconnect the power source when repairing this equipment.
WARNING: Do not operate the vacuum pump on pressurized systems. Damage to the pump may occur. To reduce the risk of fire, avoid using thin or
smaller extensions of NO 14 AWG.
CAUTION: All hoses can contain liquid refrigerant under pressure. Contact with refrigerant can cause frostbite or other related injuries. Put on
appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and gloves. Do not use this equipment where flammable liquids such as gasoline
and other solvents may be spilled.
