INSTRUCTIONS section of this manual to alert you to potential
personal injury hazards . Obey all instructions to avoid possible

The load leveler is designed to be used with a portable shop crane to
handle and position engines and other large vehicle components . The
drive screw adjusts the sling's lift point in relation to the mounting chains
to compensate for off-center loads, or adjusts to a certain angle for
component removal or installation .
1 . Attach the shop crane's hook or attachment device to the oval link
at the top of the sling's lifting block . Make sure the connection is
secure .
2 . Lift only on the areas of the engine or component as specified by
the vehicle manufacturer . Make sure that all four chains are securely
fastened to the load .
3 . Before lifting make sure that all fuel and electrical lines and
components are clear of the load .
4 . Lift the load just high enough to locate the center of balance or the
desired angle in which the load can be removed . This adjustment
is accomplished by turning the sling's drive screw in a clockwise or
counterclockwise rotation .
