Starter Rope
1.
Disconnected the spark plug boot from the spark plug.
2.
Pivot the control handle against the upper handle and pull
the rope out of the engine.
3.
Put the starter rope into the hook. See Figure 3-3.
Assembly Trimmer Shield
1.
Pull the trimmer shield out into position by pivoting the
hole. See Figure 3-4.
2.
Insert the bolt into the hole with screw the nut and
fasten it by tool. See Figure 3-5.
WARNING:
Make sure the trimmer shield is
installed in place before starting the machine.

Set-Up
Gas and Oil Fill-Up
1.
Add oil provided before starting unit for the first time out
of the box.
WARNING:
Use extreme care when handling
gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammable and the
vapors are explosive. Never fuel the machine
indoors or while the engine is hot or running.
Extinguish cigarettes, cigars, pipes and any other
sources of ignition.
