Before first use:
• Take the appliance and accessories out of the box and dispose of all the packaging.
• Before the appliance is used, the gourmet set, the power cable and the accessories must be carefully checked
for any defects.
• Clean the gourmet set and accessories with a damp cloth before you use the appliance for the first time.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents.
• Insert the plug into the socket. (Please note: Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the appliance's
voltage corresponds with the local power supply. Voltage 230V, 50/60Hz).
• Turn the thermostat in a clockwise direction to the highest setting and allow the appliance to heat up (without
the mini pans) for at least 5-10 minutes, without placing any food on the griddle. The red indicator light will go
out once the gourmet set has reached the right temperature.
• When the appliance is turned on for the first time, it may produce some smoke and you may notice a faint
smell of smoke. This is normal: make sure the room is properly ventilated. The smell and the smoke are
temporary and will soon stop.
• We recommend that you place a heatproof table mat between your table and the appliance (to avoid potential
damage to your table or tablecloth).
• Place the appliance in a properly ventilated room.
Use:
• Heat up the appliance for a few minutes on the highest setting, until the red indicator light goes out.
• Rub your chosen cooking oil on the grill/griddle.
• Use the knob on the thermostat to select the desired temperature.
• Never use sharp objects on the grill/griddle. These damage the ceramic non-stick coating.
• It is normal for the appliance to make some noise during use.
• Never use the appliance without placing the grill/griddle on it. This leaves the heating element exposed.
• Never place empty mini pans on the appliance during use.
• To avoid damage to the mini pans, use only the spatulas supplied with them.
Warning! The mini pan may be very hot during in use, please only touch the handle while using the
gourmet set.
Warning! Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliance. Leave at least 10 cm free
space on the back and sides and 10 cm free space above the appliance. Do not place anything on top of the
appliance.
• Let the appliance cool down for approx. 30 minutes before you handle or clean it.
3. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Always take the plug out of the socket, turn the thermostat all the way to the left (to min.) and wait until the
appliance has cooled down before you clean it.
• Wipe the top and corners of the appliance with kitchen paper or a soft cloth. If there are any burnt-on residues,
wash both sides of the plate with warm water. The mini pans and spatulas must also be washed with warm
water.
• Never pour cold water onto the hot plate. This can damage the appliance and cause hot water to spit.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use sharp or abrasive cleaning materials, such as scourers or
steel wool. These can damage the appliance.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids. The appliance and the mini pans are not dishwasher
proof.

4. DISPOSAL OF THE APPLIANCE
EU 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC and 2009/125/EC
This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE). The product may not be treated as household waste. Instead bring it to a central collection
point for the recycling of electrical and electronic household appliances. For more detailed information about
treatment, recovery and recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste
disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product. Correct disposal helps prevent adverse
consequences for the environment and human health. By reusing, recycling and/or other use of old appliances,
you make an important contribution to protecting our environment.
5. COMMERCIAL WARRANTY
We offer a 24-month warranty on the product for manufacturing and material defects. The warranty is only valid
if the appliance is used in accordance with the instructions and for the intended use.
Retain the till receipt clearly stating the purchase date and the product you have purchased at all times.
You will need it if you wish to invoke the warranty, if it is applicable.
