Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply by taking the power cord out of the
socket before emptying the basket, replacing the UV lamp, or carrying out other mainte-
nance.
Keep the appliance away from sources of moisture and water. Never immerse the appliance
in water or any other liquid.
Do not insert fi ngers or other objects into the lamp when powered on.
Set the lamp in a place ensuring free air fl ow and where the UV lamp light is easily visible to
insects.
OPERATING THE LAMP
Preparing for operation
Unpack the appliance by removing all packaging components. The covers can be secured during transport with adhesive tape
which should be removed. Clean the external surfaces of the appliance according to the instructions contained in the "Appliance
maintenance" section. Set the appliance according to the instructions.
Turning the lamp on/off
Place the lamp in the place of use according to the recommendations.
Plug the power cord into the socket on the lamp, and plug the second plug into the USB port (II). The lamp can be powered from
any USB port with a current capacity of at least 1 A, it can be a socket in the power supply, computer, power bank, etc.
Switch the lamp on by pressing the switch. The UV lamp will light up and the fan will start to work.
The lamp is switched off by pressing the switch. The UV lamp will go out and the fan will stop after a short while.
After switching off , the power cord plug can be disconnected from the USB port and then from the lamp.
Proceed with maintenance after disconnecting the lamp from the power supply.
Lamp maintenance
Warning! Before maintenance, make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the power supply. The power cord plug is
unplugged from the socket.
Rotate the insect container according to the arrow aiming at the open padlock symbol, and then slide it out of the housing.
Remove the mesh funnel from the container and then empty the container of insects.
The container and mesh can be cleaned with a soft brush or a brush with plastic bristles. Be careful not to damage both compo-
nents during cleaning. Both components can also be cleaned with a stream of lukewarm, running water or by immersing them
in water. A small amount of dishwashing liquid can be used for cleaning. In case of wet cleaning, dry the container and funnel
thoroughly before reinstalling them in the lamp.
Clean other parts of the lamp with a damp cloth, then dry or leave them to dry. Do not immerse the lamp in water or any other liquid.
