5.4 Mechanical mounting

WARNING!
Damage to the hand test pump due to external pressure
To prevent this, the following must be ensured.
▶
Do not connect any external pressure sources to the pump.
▶
Generate pressure only using the hand test pump.
CAUTION!
Damage to the hand test pump due to contamination
Contaminants of any kind (oil, grease, water ...) that adhere to the test item
will find their way into the pump and damage it.
▶
Clean the pressure connection hose.
▶
Clean the connections.
▶
Clean the test item before mounting.
Use the PTFE sealing band for the connection of the different connection
adapters and pressure fittings.
This will avoid loss of pressure or leakage.
1. Mount the T-connector
2. Connect both connecting hoses as follows:
▶
Mount one end of the hose with its hose connection adapter
of the T-connector
▶
Mount the other end of the hose with its hose connection adapter
pressure adapter
⇒
Both hoses must be fitted.
3. Fit the reference pressure measuring instrument and also the test item to each of the
pressure adapters
▶
To seal, use the seals that were included in the scope of supply.
▶
Securely tighten the connection in order to avoid any leakage.
▶
Tighten the connections to a maximum torque of 15 Nm.
