• The cleaning and maintenance done by users, can not be
done by children without any supervision, unless they are
over 8 years and they are under supervision.
• With the use, some small fissures or cracks, can appear on
the terracotta. Those fissures are due to the dilation and it
has not any effect to the correct functioning of this appliance.
• If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an
Authorised Service Centre.
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
• Before using for the first time, clean the terracotta surface with a damp cloth. Next,
dry carefully with a cloth or kitchen roll.
• Place the appliance on a flat and heat resistance surface.
• Insert the connector (1) into the base (4), bearing in mind that the temperature selector
(2) is in the top position.
• Turn the temperature selector (2) to the desired position, according to the type of food
you are going to prepare using as a reference the selected temperature of the pilot
light position (3). Firstly it is advisable to put the selector to its highest position, to let
the grill reach, as soon as possible, a good temperature. After that you can, if you
consider it convenient, change the selector position.
• Plug into the mains. The pilot light (3) will go on.
• Wait approximately about 25-30 minutes to let the surface reach the correct
temperature.
• Next, pour some oil on the terracotta and place the food.
• Always use heat resisting utensils to move or turn the food over.
• We recommend you do not put big frozen pieces over the terracotta surface when it
is hot.
• The terracotta grill will help you to save energy, after switch off the grill,
because it will keep hot for a while, so you can continue using the grill to
finish the cooking. You also can bring the grill to the table to finish the cooking
or keeping warm the food.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before you proceed to cleaning, unplug the appliance from the mains and remove the
connector from its base.
• Let the terracotta cool down completely before proceeding to clean it.
• Never clean the hot terracotta with water. It could cause a thermal shock and the
breakage of the terracotta.
• It may be cleaned with a dampened cloth and with a little soap. If there were some
difficult residues you can clean with a scourer.
• All the outer parts can be cleaned with a dampened cloth.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the
surfaces of the appliance.
