the bottom edge of the oil indicator.
It is forbidden to use the pole pruner without the fi lled oil tank. This can cause damage to the chain, to guide and pole pruner
mechanisms. It is recommended that start and pole pruner operation be performed, at least 3 meters from the place of oil supple-
mentation. Oil should be supplemented away from sources of fi re and heat.
In order to supplement the oil you should remove the oil tank cap, pour oil into the tank, so that the oil level aligns with a tag
indicating the maximum oil level or the upper edge of the oil level indicator, then fi rmly and tightly screw tank cap. If oil spills you
should carefully rub the remains of it before connecting the pole pruner to its supply.
Adjustment operations
Setting the length of the tool is possible after pulling the lock lever (VI) and then adjustment of length of the tool and tightening the
lock lever. It is possible to steplessly adjust the length of tool in the area between movement delimiters.
Behind the front handle is a clamp, that allows you to attach the belt carrier, the second catch is located on the enclosure near the
switch. The belt catch must be mounted to the ring clamp and catch (VII), so the lock of latch protects the tool against accidental
disconnection in the course of work.
The belt should be set up so it is based on one of the shoulders, and then obliquely wraps the operator's chest, enabling to grip
the tool at the height of hip (VIII).
Preparing the workplace
Prior to cutting with the pole pruner, you must properly prepare the workplace so to minimize the potential risk
of danger situations, what are accompanied the work of pole pruner. You should make sure, that in the workplace there will be
present only authorized persons.
From the workplace, you should have good visibility, therefore, use caution when you are working
in diffi cult terrain, eg. on the slopes.
You should not start work during precipitation and in the case of high humidity, for example, mist.
You should wear protective clothing and personal protective equipment.
You should avoid cutting the wires, young trees and wooden beams.
It should be taken into account that the cut branches, which are falling down, can bounce from other branches or jam between
other branches. Prepare emergency escape in the case of falling branches danger. Escape route should be free from obstacles
also in the course of work. If, in the course of work on the escape road, the obstacles appear, they must be removed before further
work.
Connecting the pole pruner to power (IX)
Insert the battery into the power socket, with its pins facing to the inside of the tool and to the top, until the battery latches will lock.
Make sure, that the battery will not slip out during work.
You should disconnect the battery by pressing both clips, and then remove the battery from the tool housing.
Starting the pole pruner (X)
Remove the cover from the guide and chain.
Grab the pole pruner with both hands, one hand on the front handle, the other hand grasp the rear handle.
Make sure, that the guide and the chain do not contact with any object and surface.
With your fi nger you should press the lock button of switch, which is located on the handle.
Press the switch and hold it in this position. You can release the lock button.
Before you proceed to cutting, you should wait until the engine has reached full speed, and make sure that the chain smoothly
moves over the guide. If you hear any suspicious sounds or feel vibrations, you should immediately turn off the pole pruner by
releasing the switch.
Switching off the tool is carried out by releasing the pressure on the switch.
When you stop the chain of tool you must disconnect it from mains and perform maintenance.
Work with the pole pruner
Persons, who are going to work with the pole pruner for the fi rst time, should seek advice, before starting their work,
on the work and safety from a qualifi ed operator of a pole pruner.
When working you should observe basic occupational safety rules.. You should also take into account the possibility
of the pole pruner rebound towards the operator. The pole pruner can bounce in the direction of the operator in the case, when
the cutting chain hits a resistance.
To minimize this risk you should:
Pay attention to the location of the peak of guide when cutting. It is forbidden to cut with upper quarter of the top guide (XI).
You should cut only with the chain, which moves across the bottom part of the guide. For the cut wood you should apply only the
pole pruner, which is already running. Do not start the pole pruner after the it is applied to the processed wood.
Do not stand in the cutting plane. This will reduce the risk of injury when the pole pruner rebounds (XII)
Always, during working, you should hold the pole pruner with both hands.
Make sure, the chain is always sharpened and properly tight.
