WARNING:
This battery powered grass shear is always in an oper-
ating condition and the blades can move if the switch
trigger and lock-out button are pushed. The bottom
cover latch should always be moved to the unlock (motor
disabled) position when removing cut or jammed material
from the blades, when changing blades or accessories,
when transporting the grass shear, and when the grass
shear is not in use. If the tool is left unattended, remove
the blades and store them in a separate location out of
the reach of children. Failure to follow these instructions
could result in accidental or unauthorized starting of the
grass shear and cause serious personal injury.

comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting in possible
serious injury.
MAINTENANCE
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken, or
destroy plastic which can result in serious personal injury.
Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended to be
repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts should
be replaced at an Authorized Service Center.
Blades are sharp. When handling the blade assembly,
wear non-slip, heavy-duty protective gloves. Do not place
your hand or fingers between blades or in any position
where they could get pinched or cut. NEVER touch blades
or service unit while running.
REMOVING/CHANGING BLADES
See Figure 5.
To unlock bottom cover and remove blade:
Slide bottom cover latch to the right
Pull the bottom cover down to remove.
Remove the blades.
To install/replace blades:
Install blades into the hole on the bottom of the shear.
Place bottom cover slots onto tabs and slide close.
