How to replace the batteries
1. Insert a slotted screwdriver to the bottom slot and open the enclosure.
2. Take the batteries out of the holder and place the new batteries. Observe polarity! The transmitter goes into test mode
for five minutes, before going to normal mode; see
3. Close the enclosure and test the UTX.
How to install the UTX
You can mount fix the transmitter using the supplied screws or tapes. To mount the transmitter using screws, do the following.
1. Insert a slotted screwdriver to the slot at the bottom of the transmitter, and open the enclosure.
2. Remove the knock outs on the back of the enclosure (no. 6 in the figure on the first page), and fix it to the surface with the screws.
Use the tamper's mounting hole for the UTX to alert when being removed from the surface.
When mounting the UTX with tapes, the tamper will only alert when the enclosure is opened.
3. Connect the device to the terminal block (no. 4 in the figure above) with two wires (not supplied).
4. Insert the batteries (observe polarity!).
5. Close the enclosure, running the wires through the inlet (no. 7 in the figure on the first page).

How to test the UTX
When placing new batteries, the transmitter goes into test mode for five minutes. During this time, the LED will blink according to the
LED table above, even if the DIP switch is in off position. A Tamper alarm is not reported during the first three minutes.
