USING THE STRAIGHTENER
Caution! For best results, wash, comb and dry your hair to a
slightly damp state.
1. Connect the device to a power source. Place it on a smooth,
dry and even surface. Do not place it on a surface that is not
heat resistant.
2. OFF will appear on the display. Press and hold the button
for 2 seconds. The LED display will light up, showing the
temperature level.
3. Choose preferable temperature settings.
The following settings are recommended:
Hair type
fine, damaged or dyed hair
normal hair
thick hair
4. When the temperature level is selected, the display shows a
continuous increase in temperature up to the desired value.
5. Start straightening your hair. Pressing lightly, move the
straightener downwards, starting from the hair roots to hair
ends.
Be careful not to touch the hot plates by your hands or
head.
6. Repeat the action all over the head, wait for the hair to cool
down before combing it out.
Notes:
ƒ Place the device on a heat-resistant surface.
ƒ A peculiar smell may arise when used for the first time. This
is a normal occurrence and will disappear the next time you
use the device.
ƒ It is possible that some smoke may develop during use. This
may be due to the evaporation of sebum or cosmetic residues,
such as leave-in conditioner, varnish or moisture left in the
hair.
ƒ It is also normal for a crackling sound - this is the noise gener-
ated by the ion generator.
AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF
If the device is left on for more than 60 minutes, it will turn off
automatically.
If, after this time press the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds to turn the
appliance back on, should you want to use it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The device should be kept clean in order to ensure its proper func-
tioning. Follow the rules below before cleaning.
1. Always disconnect the device from the electrical outlet after
use and before cleaning.
2. After the straightener has cooled down, its casing and plate
can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth.
3. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, instead wind it
loosely at the side.
4. Store the straightener with the plates folded up for
protection.

El alisador eléctrico MPM tiene un sensor de temperatura de in-
frarrojos, colocado en la placa inferior. El sensor detecta el nivel
de humedad en el cabello y ajusta la temperatura de manera au-
tomática, protegiendo el cabello contra los daños.
Las placas móviles que nivelan la presión sobre el cabello (siste-
ma de placas de presión) permiten ajustar la presión al grosor del
mechón de cabello para obtener mejores resultados del alisado en
un solo movimiento.
