Set up trailer operation
General
After installation of the electrics kit, the mandatory trailer lighting and the trailer indicator monitoring that is required by law in some countries, operates automatically
with no additional software!
Any defect in the trailer direction indicators is shown by a bulb failure symbol on the information display on the istrument panel.
Vehicles with parking assistance
Deactivation of the reversing parking sensors when towing a trailer, can be programmed by the dealer using the dealer diagnostic assistance system. This is simply
carried out by following the coding procedure below (not CL203) :
· control devices
· construction
EZS - electronic starter
· control device adjustment
· read the coding and change if necessary
· trailer (switch to "present")
· execute coding (F5)
After coding, to deactivate the rear parking sensors, there is an additional warning of trailer indicator failure, by the double flash rate of the direction arrows on the
instrument display, and as an extended defect report in the information display section of the instrument panel. (also CL203)
