How to remove the battery for disposal
RISK OF INJURY. WEAR GLOVES WHEN WORKING!
The battery should be removed by an authorized Sharp service centre. Not doing
so will invalidate any guarantees and warranties on your device.
1. Use a fl at screwdriver to gently prize away the fabric cover.
2. Unscrew the radiator covers at each end of the unit, 4 screws in each, 8 in total.
3. Remove the radiator covers to expose the radiator holder. Unscrew 6 screws each end,
12 in total.
(One side is screwed into place, the other side is glued into place)
4. Remove the radiator holder and to fully expose the radiator, remove the radiator by
hand. Do this for both ends of the unit. Gently pry the radiator loose.
5. Unscrew the 8 screws which hold the 2 halves of the unit together. Gently separate the
two halves being careful not to damage any wiring joining them together.
6. Inside one of the halves you will see the blue battery, it is held in place with a fi xing
bracket. Unscrew the 2 bracket screws to detach the battery from the unit.
7. Disconnect the battery connector from the board and remove the battery.
Disposal of this equipment
• Do not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste. Return it
to a designated collection point for the recycling of WEEE in accordance
with local law. By doing so, you will help to conserve resources and
protect the environment.
