L_POS
Position determination of the
XControl in the machine coordin-
ates system. The reference tool
must be positioned centrally in
the tool axis with a distance of
approx. 5 mm to the contact
point above the XControl. The
two other axes are not travelled
in the probing process.
Example
L_POS(128.44)
Position of the XControl in the tool axis is determined with reference tool with length 128.44 mm.
L_XCPOS
In the controller, it is possible to check in user cycles under L_XCPOS whether the reference position
(R96) of the XControl in the tool axis was saved.

L_BREAK
Probe cycle L_BREAK is for mon-
itoring the tool in the spindle.
The tool must be positioned
centrally in the tool axis with a
distance of approx. 5 mm to the
contact point above the XCon-
trol. The two other axes are not
travelled in the probing process.

Tool length is checked with a probing speed of 500 mm/min
L_BREAK(0.2)
Tool length is checked with a probing speed of 1000 mm/min
L_BREAK(1.125)
Tool length is checked by adding the tip length 1.125 mm of the entered tool length in the tool
memory.
L_BREAK(2.135,3)
Tool length is checked by adding the tip length 2.135 mm of the entered tool length in the tool
memory. The probing speed is 1500 mm/min.
For the specified variables, the values from the following table can be used.

be saved, the "manufacturer
password" must be set on the
controller.

breakage] if the calculated tool
length D1 from the tool memory
shows a delta of -2 mm.
The controller reports [swarf
nest] if the calculated tool length
D1 from the tool memory shows
a delta of +1.2 mm.
