Operations
WARNING: Crushing hazard. Failure to obey the following warnings
could result in death or serious injury:
•
Do not exceed the rated load capacity.
•
Always secure the trailer from rolling when coupling or uncoupling the
trailer.
•
Excessive side loading should be avoided.
•
Make sure the plunger pins are properly locked into the detent holes in the
mounting plate before operating the jack.
•
The jack must be secured in the folded up position before towing.
•
When raising or lowering the jack, keep body, feet, and bystanders clear of
the trailer tongue.
•
Not for highway use. Never tow with a load applied to the jack.
NOTICE: To minimize stress on the jack and its components, and to allow the
wheel to align with the direction of travel, always crank the jack two revolutions
above the fully down position when moving the trailer.
Trailer Jacks are engineered to vertically support the weight of a loaded trailer at
rest on hard surfaces and are intended for vehicle alignment only. Maneuvering
a loaded trailer jack, other than aligning the trailer to the hitch, or storing on soft
surfaces will introduce lateral loads on the caster and wheel which could cause
premature failure and is not covered under warranty.
1.
Make sure the bolts and nuts are securely fastened before every use.
2. Pull the swivel pin out and swivel the jack into position.
I
Only swivel the jack when the trailer is coupled to the towing vehicle.
3. Make sure the swivel pin is engaged and locked.
4. Turn the handle clockwise to raise and counterclockwise to lower the jack.
I
Never overcrank the handle.
3
Maintenance
The jack is pre-greased for immediate use. The jack includes two grease ports for
lubrication as needed. We recommend Sierra Hydro Defense Marine Grease for
ultimate protection.
