GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

REPLACING THE CUTTING BLADE
See Figure 4, page 10.
When cutting blade becomes worn and dull, the cuts can
become jagged and uneven. Replace the blade to restore cut-
ting precision. Always wear gloves when handling the blade.
Remove the battery pack.
To lock the blade, install a nail (not included) into the hole
in the blade as shown.
Remove the screw in the center of the blade using a flat
head screwdriver (not included).
Remove the nail from the blade.
Turn the tool over and the blade will fall loose from the
two centering pins.
Carefully turn the tool back and the blade will fall out and
into your gloved hand.
Dispose of the old blade.
Place the new blade onto the spindle and align the slot
in the blade with the two centering pins.
Reinstall the screw and tighten securely.
NOTE: To lock the blade, install a nail (not included) into
the hole in the blade as shown.
