General Features
Adjustable temperature dial:
Your freezer will automatically maintain the temperature level you select. The temperature
control dial has 7 settings plus OFF. "1" is the warmest, "7" is the coldest. Turning the dial to
OFF stops cooling the freezer. Set the dial to "4" and allow 24 hours to pass before adjusting
the temperature to your needs.
NOTE: If the freezer has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for any period of time
wait 24 hours before plugging the unit in.
Defrosting

the frost is excessive or ¼ to ½ inch thick.
• Choose a time when the stock of frozen food is low.
• Turn the temperature control knob to the "0" .
• Remove the frozen food from the freezer and place it in a cooler to protect the food.
• Unplug the freezer.
• Open the freezer door.
• Place a suitable container to collect the defrost water.
• After defrosting, clean and dry the interior.
• Plug in and adjust the temperature control knob as needed.
• Allow the cabinet to cool for 4 hour before returning food to the freezer.
WARNING
Scraping ice from the freezer compartment can damage the unit.
CAUTION:
Do not use boiling water because it may damage the plastic parts. In addition, never use a
sharp or metallic instrument to remove frost as it may damage the cooling coils and will void
the warranty.
HELPFUL HINT:
Defrosting usually takes a few hours. Leaving the door open will help speed the process. Also,
pouring warm water (not boiling) on the ice/frost will help speed melting.
