FOR STEAMING
• Your PRATIC 6i ELECTRIC RICE COOKER can also be used for steaming.
• Make sure that the water level inside the Nonstick Pan is at least up to the lowest level
indicated in the pan.
• Place whole or cut vegetables in the Steaming Basket, not exceeding the height of the tray.
Make sure they have similar cooking times.
• Place the steaming basket inside the Nonstick Pan.
• Do not turn on the appliance until the Nonstick Pot is properly positioned inside the Base.
• Plug the power cord into an outlet (compatible with product voltage). The Warm function
Indicator Light (green) will light up.
• Press the On/Off Button, pushing it down to turn on the Cook function. The Indicator Light
(red) will light up indicating that the appliance has begun cooking.
• If either Pilot Light — green or red — starts flashing when you plug the appliance in, press the
On/Off Button again, pushing it down to start the Cook function.
• If the Cook function is not turned on, the Warm Indicator Lamp will start flashing for 1 to 2
seconds, then the Warm function will automatically turn on to keep the food warm.
• Always check if the vegetables are already cooked to your liking and turn off the appliance by
unplugging the power cord.
• Remove the vegetables from the Steaming Basket immediately after they are done cooking.
Season to taste.
• To maximize the use of your appliance and save electricity, you can steam cook rice and
vegetables at the same time. Follow the instructions for cooking rice, but use only half the
capacity of the Pot.
• Place whole or cut vegetables in the Steaming Basket, not exceeding the height of the tray.
Make sure they have similar cooking times.
• Place the Steam Tray over the rice ingredients.
• Follow the instructions; the cooking time for vegetables may be different than for rice.
• Check vegetables; if they are to your liking, remove Steam Basket. Remove the power cord
from the outlet.
• Turn the appliance on and restart the operation until rice is done cooking.
ATTENTION: To avoid accidents and burns, use heat-protective gloves or
accessories when handling utensils while cooking.
