Initial Operation
Assembling of the accessories
1. Connect the steam hose to the device. Therefore, pay at-
tention to the guide pins on the connecting piece. After the
connecting piece has clicked in at the stop on the device,
tighten it in direction .
2. If you want to use one of the attachments, stick it onto the
nozzle, before turning on the device.
•
You may use the brush attachment to remove lint or
hair from a piece of clothing.
•
You may use the fabric clamp to specifically iron in
creases.
Fill in Water
NOTE:
•
The maximum filling capacity is 1000 ml.
•
Use distilled water to prevent calcification.
Only pour the water into the filling opening of the device. The
water level should be between the markings MIN and MAX.
Electrical Connection
•
Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that
the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device.
You can find this information on the nameplate.
•
Connect the device to a duly installed protective contact
socket.
Connected Wattage
The station has a total maximum wattage of 1630 W.
CAUTION: Overload!
•
If you use extension leads, these should have a cable
cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
•
Do not use any multiple sockets, as this device is too
powerful.
Using the Device
Operate the unit
CAUTION:
•
Do not operate the device without water!
•
Check the water level during operation.
NOTE:
During operation, always hold the device with the handle
lower than the nozzle. The condensate that forms in the hose
can therefore run back into the water tank.
1. To treat a piece of clothing with steam, hang it onto a
clothes hanger.
2. Turn the device on with the on/off switch. The control lamp
in the switch will light up. The device will be operational
after about 1 minute.
3. Hold the nozzle against the lower part of the clothing.
Slowly move the nozzle over the fabric from bottom to top.
Filling the Water Tank during Operation
No steam will be discharged if the water tank is empty. The
water has to be filled up as follows:
1. Press the on/off switch to switch the unit off.
2. Remove the mains plug from the socket!
3. Fill fresh water into the tank as described in the chapter "Fill
in Water".
4 Reconnect to the mains power supply and press the On/
Off button to switch the unit on.
When you have finished using the device
1. Press the on/off switch.
2. Remove the mains plug from the socket!
3. Let the unit cool down completely.
Disassembly of the accessories
1. Remove the cap from the nozzle, if necessary.
2. Turn the connecting piece of the steam hose in the direc-
tion
to detach it.
Cleaning and Storage
WARNING:
•
Always pull the mains plug and wait until the device has
cooled down before cleaning it.
•
Under no circumstances should you immerse the device
in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might
result in an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
•
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
•
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
•
Clean the unit only with a slightly damp cloth.
•
Residual water may remain in the water tank. If the device
is not used for a long period of time, we recommend that
you pour distilled water back into a closed container.
•
For space-saving storage, you may place the steam hose
around the foot of the device.
Decalcification
•
If you have not used distilled water and if the device is
creating too little steam, a de-scaling will be necessary.
•
Do not use vinegar, but a standard de-scaling solution
based on citric acid. Dispense it according to the instruc-
tions of the de-scaling solution.
1. Disassemble the steam hose.
2. Fill the de-scaling agent up to the MIN marking (approx.
400 ml) in the water tank.
3. Turn the device on and bring the solution to the boil until
steam is generated.
