MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
• Always switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
maintenance or checks.
• Check all the parts for signs of wear. Do not continue to use the product if you find any defects.
Parts should only be replaced with original spare parts, and by an expert, in accordance with
the manufacturer's specifications. A lack of care and maintenance can damage the device.
Dangerous situations can arise. Regular maintenance helps to ensure the safety of the product
and increases its service life.
• Use a sponge and warm soapy water for cleaning. Do not use cleaners or detergents containing
solvents; substances such as bleach can damage the product.
• Make sure that the cleaning water does not get into the battery compartment or come into
contact with the lid's sensor system.
• Do not clean sensor bin parts in a dishwasher or hold them under running water.
• Dry everything thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• Store the sensor bin in a dry and clean place. Always remove the batteries if the bin is to be
stored for an extended period of time.
DISPOSAL
At the end of your item's long service life, please dispose of the valuable raw materials properly
so that proper recycling can take place. If you are not sure how best to proceed, local waste
disposal companies or recycling centres will be happy to help.
CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THIS PRODUCT
Never dispose of electronic devices as household waste! Take defective or discarded devices to
recycling centres.

the place where you bought it. They will then send the device for recycling.
