Thermal vents are designed to cool the internal components
and prevent overheating.

CAUTION: To reduce the possibility of heat-related injury or
overheating of the computer, do not place the computer directly on your
lap or obstruct the ventilation openings of the computer. Use the com-
puter only on a hard, flat surface. Do not allow another hard surface,
such as an optional printer, or a soft surface, such as pillows, rugs, or
clothing, to block the airflow. Also, do not allow the AC adapter to come
in contact with your skin or a soft surface, such as pillows, rugs, or clo-
thing, during operation.
