TIPS
•
Always coat the non-stick surface with a small amount of vegetable
oil. This can be done with a paper towel or with a non-stick cooking
oil spray. Wipe off any excess oil. It is recommended to periodically do
this before using the appliance to maintain the quality of the non-stick
coating.
•
Let the pies cool down before you serve.
•
Use any pie crust recipe or a refrigerated pre-made pie crust
•
Do not stretch the dough before baking as stretching will cause the
dough to thin out and break during baking.
•
Have all ingredients (both pie dough discs and fillings) prepared and
ready before baking the first pie.
•
If baking more than 1 batch of pies, allow the pie maker to cool down
between batches
•
Fill the bottom dough disc generously, enough to make a small mound
so when the small dough disc that is placed on top comes in contact
with the top non-stick plate and cooks thoroughly. Do not over fill,
because the filling might seep out.
