AENO™ AKS0001S Kitchen Scales are designed for determining the weight of food products and small items.

Limitations and Warnings
Handle the glass surface of the scales with care, avoiding damage, cracks and splits, as broken glass can cause injury. Supervise the
use of the device by children and persons with physical and mental disabilities. Do not allow children to play with the device. Place
the scales on a flat horizontal surface to avoid inaccurate measurements. Do not load the device beyond the maximum value of the
measuring range. If the device is not used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries and store them out of the reach of
children and animals. Remove the batteries before cleaning the device. Clean the device case with a damp cloth. If the scales is dirty,
wipe it with a soft cloth soaked in a mild soap solution. Then wipe it with a cloth dampened with clean water. After cleaning, wipe the
device dry. Do not use chemical or aggressive detergents, abrasive pastes, acids, solvents, or metal sponges for cleaning.
WARNING! Avoid getting water or other liquids on the device. Do not immerse the device in water. Do not wash the device or any of
its parts under running water or in a dishwasher.

Preparing the device for operation
Unpack the device and wipe its surfaces with a cloth dampened with water. Wipe it dry. Open the compartment cover (4) and insert
the batteries (fig. b), observing the correct polarity. Close the compartment cover (4). Place the device on a stable horizontal surface.
Press the button (2). The display will show "0 g" ("Zero grams").
Note. The scales is also automatically activated when the product or object to be weighed is placed on the scales.
Next, select the unit of measure. To do this, press the button (1). After each press, the display will show the current unit of measure:
"g" – gram, "lb" – pound, "oz" – ounce, "fl. oz" – fluid ounce, "ml" – millilitre. The selected settings are saved for the current weighing
and for the next time the device is turned on. The settings are reset when the batteries are removed.
Operating instructions
Place the product on the surface of the device. The display will show the weight of the product in the selected unit of measure.
If it is necessary to find out the net weight of a product (without its plate, glass, container, etc.), first place an empty container on the scales
and reset its weight by pressing the button (2). After that, place the product in the container. The display will show the weight of the
product without the container.
To turn the device off, press and hold the button (2) for 3 seconds or wait for it to turn off automatically. The device turns off
automatically if not used for more than one minute.
Connecting to the AENO mobile app
Download the AENO mobile app from Google Play or the App Store and create a new account (or sign in to an existing one).
Turn on the device by pressing the button (2). Place your smartphone as close to the device as possible.
On the app main screen, successively tap "+" → "Add Device".
Note. If you receive system prompts to turn on any features on your smartphone, follow them.
The device will be found automatically, and its image will appear in the "Auto Search" section. Tap the "Add" button.
Wait until the following message appears: "Successfully added devices: 1". Tap "Done" at the bottom of the screen.
You will now be able to view information about weighed products in the AENO app. For more information on the app's features, see
the full user manual at aeno.com/documents.
Troubleshooting possible malfunctions
The device does not turn on. Possible cause: batteries are missing or discharged; the polarity was not followed when inserting the
batteries. Solution: insert the charged batteries into the compartment (4) (fig. b), observing the polarity.
The device displays random values or does not turn off automatically if not used for more than 1 minute. Possible cause: software
error. Solution: remove the batteries for 10 seconds, then reinsert them. Turn on the device. Afterwards, the scales should work
correctly.
Device operation error codes shown on the display
"Lo" – low power supply charge level; "Err" – the maximum permissible product weight has been exceeded.
WARNING! If none of the possible solutions resolved the problem, contact the supplier or a service centre. Do not disassemble or
attempt to repair the device yourself.
