MAKE CERTAIN THE DUST COLLECTOR
IS
DISCONNECTED
FROM THE POWER SOURCE.
1. Place 5-inch hose clamp onto the opening of the
collector bag. Slide end of collector bag with clamp
onto exhaust port. Tighten strap and clamp securely.
WALL
MOUNT
OPTION
The Portable Dust Collector may be hung by its base
from the supplied wall mount plate once the plate is
securely attached to a work shop wall.
To attach the plate to the wall:
1. Locate a wall stud in the area you wish to mount the
unit. Position the center hole of the wall mount plate
on the stud about 40" above the floor. Use a pencil
to mark the center hole and two side hole plate
locations on the wall. See figure 15
2.
Fit a drill with a 1/4-inch bit, and drill a hole through
the wall into the stud. Drill the two side holes with a
5/32-inch bit and press anchors into wall board.
3. Attach the plate through the center hole (A) to the
stud with the M9.5 x 50 lag bolt. Use the M6.3 x 32
screws to attach the plate through the side holes (B).
Verify that the plate is securely attached to the wall
before mounting the collector unit to the plate.
To hang the unit from the plate:
1. Do not remove the casters from the unit base.
Loosen the end nuts (C) on each of the two studs
protruding from the wall mount plate.
2. With the aid of an assistant, lift and position the unit
so that the key hole slots on the unit base align with
the two studs.
I A CAUTION
During operation, the collector
unit should not
vibrate excessively. If excessive vibration occurs,
check tightness of all fasteners. Retighten
if neces-
sary. If excessive vibration continues,
unit may have
to be mounted to a different wall position, or
removed entirely from wall mount operation.

Attach bag to collector exhaust port:
Attach bag to collector exhaust port as described in
COLLECTION BAG TO DUST COLLECTOR ASSEMBLY.
I A CAUTION
The bottom of the bag must rest on the floor once
the bag is attached to the exhaust port. If bottom of
bag does not reach floor, the wall plate has been
mounted too high on the wall. Remove dust collec-
tor unit from plate and reattach mount plate at a
lower wall height.
