Pause
— The player is switched to Pause by repeatedly pressing the button
> H PLAY/PAUSE 18 (fig. 5).
The scanner stops in the current position. The player switches to
silence.
— Press the button again; playback resumes from this position.
Stop
— Press button E STOP/CLEAR 17.
— Player will stop.
Selecting the desired track
— Press the track button 19 to directly select a track on the disc. The
desired track is immediately played. For tracks 11 to 99, first
press the button 1 - or 2-. The number 1 - or 2 - will flash for a few
seconds. During this time, complete the track number using the
buttons 1-10 e.g.
— For track no. 20:
Press button 1-. 1- flashes. Press button 10. Track no. 20 is
selected.
— For track no. 53:
Press 2- twice. 4- flashes. Press button 1- once. 5- flashes.
Press button 3. Track no. 58 is selected.
Picking the musical selection you desire
— Each time the button SKIP PP18
is pressed, the player advances
one selection.
— Each time the reset button SKIP I@é 8 is pressed, the player
switches back one selection.
— If one of the SKIP 8 buttons is pressed from the N STOP/CLEAR
17 mode the desired selection is preset. The player remains in the
stop mode. To start the selection, you have to press the button
DEE PLAY/PAUSE 18.
Search forwards bb and backwards <4
— If button kk or 44 SEARCH 9 is pressed during the playback,
the scanner will travel rapidly forwards or backwards across the
disc until the button is released.
— Musical selections are audible for monitoring purposes.
— When the button is released, playback will then resume from the
current scanner position
— If one of these search buttons is pressed during playback of a
stored music programme, the scanner will move only to the start
or end of the current music title.
Repeating a selection
— Press the button ONE/ALL 3 once. The display ONE will appear.
The selection picked will be repeated again and again.
Repeating the entire disc or a stored programme
— Press the button ONE/ALL 3 twice. The display ALL will appear.
— The entire disc or the selected programme will be repeated.
Cancelling the Repeat function
— If you press the button ONE/ALL 3 a third time, the REPEAT
function will be cancelled and the playback will continue normally.
Repeating part of a desired track A-B
— While the track is being played back, press the button A-B 4 to
set the time marker A to the desired location.
— A- appears in the display (Fig. 6).
— Set the time marker B by pressing the button A-B 4 again.
The message A-B appears in the display (Fig. 7).
— The desired part track A-B is repeated continuously.
Press the button A-B
4 again to clear the function.
RANDOM, selecting a track using the random
generator
— Press the button RANDOM

— Playback starts. The track sequence is determined by the randam
generator.
— Press the button PI SKIP 8 to switch to the next track selected
by the random generator.
— If you press the button REPEAT 11, the disc is repeated continu-
ously.
— Press the button 144 8 to replay the last track again.
INTRO track search
— Press the button INTRO 16 to play each track for 10 seconds.
Programming various tracks in any sequence
Up to 25 tracks can be programmed.
— Press the program button 12.
The message PROGRAM appears on the display (Fig. 8)
— Select the desired track using the track button 19 (see the section
on Selecting a desired track).
— The title is programmed.
— Program the next titles in the same way.
— Once 25 tracks have been stored, the message FULL appears on
the display.
— In the position STOP, the button DISPLAY 5 checks which
tracks are stored by repeatedly pressing the button.
Starting the desired music program
— Press the button PLAY/PAUSE 18.
The programmed tracks are played in the sequence entered.
By pressing the button SKIP 8, you can jump to the next or the
previously programmed track while a track is playing.
— When
all programmed
tracks
have
been
played
back,
the
machine stops,
— The program can be replayed.
Clearing the programming
— Press the button PROGRAM
12 again.
— The message PROGRAM in the display is cleared. The program
is erased.
— Press the button STOP/CLEAR 17 to clear each track in succes-
sion in reverse order.
— The program can also be cleared by extending the transport
drawer or by switching off the machine by pressing the POWER 1
button.
Auto Space
— If you pressed the button AUTO SPACE 10, musical gaps are
created between the individual selections when the disc is played.
— When you rerecord onto cassette you may need these musical
gaps for the cassette recorder's automatic search system.
Edit
Using the button EDIT 11, you can program a desired playback
time, e. g. to record a specific length of time remaining on a cassette.
— From the position Stop, press the button EDIT 11. The message
EDIT appears in the display (Fig. 9).
