4) Long press <⑦Previous/Rewind> or <⑨Next/Fast-forward>to rewind or fast-forward.
5) Press <⑧Play/Pause> will pause playing the current track; press this button again will
resume playing this track.
6) Press number buttons to select one specific MP3 (For example, continuously press
buttons 9+6 to select the 96th mp3, but if the total numbers of the MP3 files are not more
than 96, it will play the current MP3).
7) For the <⑭Repeat>, the first press for ONE, repeating the current MP3; next press for
FOLD, repeating the MP3s of the current folder; one more next press for ALL, repeating all
the MP3s.
8) Press <⑩Mode switch> will change to other mode.
Note:
◆The radio can only read MP3 files.
◆If your flash drive/TF card can't be read, please make sure they are in FAT or FAT32
Format, as the radio can't read flash drive/TF card in NTFS Format.
2. Play by AUX
1) Press <⑩Mode switch> to change to AUX mode.
2) Insert one end of the AUX cable into the <④DC 5V charging/AUX in jack >, and insert the
other end into the earphone jack of the mobile phone or computer, then open the music
software/app to play music.
3) Turn the <③Volume knob> to adjust the volume.
4) Press <⑧Play/Pause> to pause the current playing; press this button again will resume
the playing.
5) Press <⑩Mode switch> will change to other mode.
Note:
When in AUX mode, only <③Volume knob>, <⑧Play/Pause>, <⑩Mode switch> works, other
buttons cannot be operated.
3. Play by Bluetooth
1) Press <⑩Mode switch> to change to "Blue" mode, the radio will give a "Bluetooth mount"
sound.
2) Switch on the Bluetooth on your services, such as: mobile phone, iPod, computer, etc.,
search for the device named "BT-288AM", and then connect it, the radio should have a "
Dingdong" sound, which means the device has been connected successfully. (Note: Some
BT devices need to enter password while pairing, please enter"0000". If the pairing has still
failed, please turn off or exit the BT devices and re-pairing according to mentioned method
before).
3) Open the music software/app of the other BT device to play music.
4) Turn the <③Volume knob> to adjust the volume.
5) Press <⑧Play/Pause> to pause the current playing; press this button again will resume
the playing.
6) Press <⑩Mode switch> will change to other mode.
BT Calling
Once you successfully paired it with your cellphone through Bluetooth, you can use this unit
to answer calls.
1. When there is a call, the radio will report the incoming call number.
2. Press <⑪BT calling button> to answer the call, then you just need to talk to this unit with

hands-free. When you want to hang up the call, just press this button again.
3. If you want to reject the incoming call, please long press <⑪BT calling button>.
Note:
◆This product can't be used to make calls. If you still want to use it when making a call,
please select Bluetooth as your answer method on your cellphone. Then you can speak
with J-288 instead of your cellphone.
◆Please close to the <⑲Microphone> to make your voice louder and clearer in the call if
necessary.
Sleep Timer
1. In any mode, press <⑮Sleep timer button> to set sleep timer.
2. Then the screen will appear "0240" after first press, which means the sleep timer is being
set to 240 minutes.
3. Continue to press<⑮Sleep timer button> to select your desired automatically shutdown
time from 120, 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes.
4. When you confirm the time, wait for 3 seconds until the numbers on the screen change
to current mode, which means the sleep timer has been set successfully.
5. If you want to change a sleep timer, please press <⑮Sleep timer button> again to set a
new one follow the step3.
6. If you want to cancel the sleep timer, please just restart the radio, which also means you
need to reset the sleep timer whenever you restart it.
Lock Key
Press <⑬Lock button> to lock the other keys, then the screen displaying will flash and other
buttons cannot work until you press this button again.
Headphones
In order not to disturb others around you, you can use headphones.
1. Plug the headphones into the <⑤Earphone output>, the radio will automatically switch
to headphone listening mode and the speaker will be muted.
2. When you pull out the headphones, the radio will return to the speaker mode. Please
adjust the volume in time , to adapt to the surrounding environment and your own hearing
needs.
Human Body Induction
When reception is weak, it will getting better if hold the radio in hand, but its reception will
be weak again when the hand is away. This is a common phenomenon called " Human Body
Induction " among almost all the radios.
