The scale cannot be used to determine the weight:
- in commercial trade;
- which is the basis for the calculation of stallages, customs, taxes, premiums, discounts, fi nes, remuneration, damages or similar
types of fees;
- when applying legal provisions and when providing opinions in court proceedings by assessors and experts;
- of a patient in medical practice to monitor, diagnose and treat;
- when preparing prescription medicines in pharmacies;
- in the course of analyses performed by medical and pharmaceutical laboratories;
- when packing the goods.
OPERATING SAFETY
Never exceed the maximum scale capacity. Remember that the weight on the scale before taring the device is also included in the
capacity. Exceeding the maximum capacity can damage the scale.
Take special care when weighing the liquids. The scale is not protected against the ingress of liquids and may be damaged in the
event of a spill. Do not splash liquids during weighing. Immediately wipe off the splashed liquids.
Place the products to be weighed gently on the scale; do not throw them on the scale surface or its vessel. Sudden hitting of the
scale surface can lead to its damage. Do not throw the scale itself.
The scale is not waterproof, therefore keep it in a dry environment. Do not immerse the scale in water or other liquid.
If the scale indicates that the batteries are low, replace them with new ones or at least remove them from the battery compartment.
Battery leakage can destroy the product. Always replace the batteries in pairs. Dispose of the used batteries in accordance with
the local regulations.
If the product has been stored at a temperature outside the operating temperature range, leave the product in the operating
environment for the time necessary for an autonomous change of the product temperature before turning it on or before installing
the batteries.
PRODUCT USE
Preparing th e product for operation
Unpack the product and completely remove all packing elements. It is recommended to keep the packaging for storage and
transport of the product.
At the bottom of the scale there is a compartment in which the batteries listed in section: "TECHNICAL DATA" are to be installed.
Open the battery compartment cover by pressing the latch. Install the batteries. When installing them, ensure the correct polarity.
Close the battery compartment cover.
Caution! If during use of the scale, the display shows the LO symbol, this indicates that the batteries are low. In this case, turn off
the scale and replace the batteries.
Measurement conditions. The scale must be placed on a fl at, hard and level surface (carpets and linings may interfere with the
measurement).
Turn on the scale with the ON/OFF button. After about 2 seconds, the display will show 0. If the display does not show the 0 symbol
or a vessel will be placed on the scale, press the button marked TARE. This will tare the weight – the display will then show 0.
The scale is turned off by pressing the ON/OFF button. The scale also has a system of automatic turning off in case of inactivity,
which allows reducing battery consumption.
Caution! The ON/OFF and TARE buttons can be a single button.
Selecting the measurement unit
After turning on the scale, press the UNIT button to change the weight unit. The symbol of the unit will appear on the display.
