Storing the Mower

See Figures 16 - 17.
 Remove the battery and start key and store in a secure
location out of the reach of children.
 Before storage, wipe any dirt or debris from the battery area.
 Turn mower on its side and clean grass clippings that have
accumulated on the underside of the mower deck.
 Wipe the mower clean with a dry cloth.
 Check all nuts, bolts, knobs, screws, fasteners, etc., for
tightness.
 Inspect moving parts for damage, breakage, and wear. Have
repairs made on any damaged or missing parts. Check blade
for damage, uneven, or excessive wear and replace blade if
these conditions exist.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Motor fails to start when switch
trigger is depressed
Motor stops while blade control
lever is depressed.
Loss of power.

Possible Cause
Battery is not secure.
Battery is not charged.
Start key is missing or is
pointed toward the wrong
battery port.
Handle is not in correct
position.
Motor is overloaded.
Grass too tall or wet.

 Store mower indoors in a clean, dry place out of the reach
of children.
• To store the mower in a horizontal position, lower the
handle assembly as described earlier in this manual.
Avoid pinching or trapping any cables.
• To store the mower in a vertical position, remove the
grass bag, then lower the handle assembly as shown in
figure 17. The upper handle can be stored either raised
(as shown in figure 17) or lowered (as shown in figure 16)
when storing in the vertical position.
NOTE: Make sure the pins on the handle adjustment knobs
are fully seated in the locking holes before attempting to
raise the mower to the standing position.
 Do not store near corrosive materials such as fertilizer or
rock salt.
To secure the battery pack, make sure the battery is fully
seated and the latch on the tool is snapped into place.
Charge the battery pack according to the instructions
included with your model.
Install start key and make sure the arrow on the key is
pointed toward the battery port where a charged battery
pack is located.
Adjust to one of the three handle angle positions on the
mower.
Release blade control lever, wait several seconds, then
depress blade control lever again. Motor should restart.
If it doesn't, remove battery pack, reinstall battery pack,
then try again.
Raise the cutting height, cut a narrower swath, use a slower
ground speed, or cut more frequently when the grass is
dry. See Mowing Tips in the OPERATION section of this
manual.
