Read these operating instructions carefully before installing and using the heater!
SECURITY
This device must not operate without water, otherwise the resistance will burn provoking an irreparable
breakdown. Do not use it during maintenance work or mains water cuts-off .
The electrical installation must be equipped with the safety current device and means to disconnect the
appliance from the power supply, in which the distance between the contacts of all poles is not less than 3mm.
Connection to electrical system and measurement offi re protection eff ectiveness should be made by a qualifi ed
person.
Avoid dirt in pipes and in the area before assembly. If the plumbing is new, let the water fl ow.
The unit has to be earthed or neutrally grounded.
The unit should always be vented befare initial start-up.
lf there is a non-return valve installed on the water supply pipe the safety valve must be fi tted between the unit
and non-return valve.
The unit can only be connected to the cold water supplies.
lnlet and outlet pipes should not be made of plastic.
The unit can work in conjunction with a single-handle, two-valve tap.
The unit must not be installed in the place which is exposed to the danger of explosion and place in which the
temperatura may go down below 0°C.
Unit's cover must not be taken off while power is on.
Failure to install the fi lter on water supply pipe can cause unit damage.
Accumulation of limescale in parts ofthe water heater may cause limited water fl ow and failure of the water
heater. Failure of the heater and damages caused by the limescale will not be covered by the warranty. The
water heaters and fi ttings must be descaled on the regular basis, the frequency of limescale removal depanding
on the quality of water.
INSTALLATION
The unit must be installed with the outlet and inlet pipes at the top.
Vent the unit each time after the water has been emptied from the heater or pipes
The unit should always be vented befare initial start-up.
lf there is a non-return valve installed on the water supply pipe the safety valve must be
fi tted between the unit and non-return valve.
The unit can only be connected to the cold water supplies.
lnlet and outlet pipes should not be made of plastic.
Take off the unit's cover: undo the screws, slide the cover off starting from the inlet and outlet side.
Fix the unit.
Install a cable suitable for 4400w to the terminals. Connection to electrical system and measurement offi re
protection eff ectiveness should be made by a qualifi ed person..
Connect (e.g. using fl exible hoses) cold water to the inlet pipe inserting a fi lter in between and connect hot
water to the outlet pipe.
Open the cold water valve and check for leaks.
Purge the installation of air.
Connect the unit to the electrical installation according to the marks, tighten the cable clamp to make sure the
cable does not slip
Put the unit's cover back. Make su re that there is no access to live parts through the hales at the back plate.
Venting
To prevent damage to the appliance, the instantaneous water heater must be purged from air before using it
for the fi rst time. Each time it is emptied (e.g. after work on the plumbing system, if there is a risk of frost or
following repair work), the appliance must be purged from air before it is used again.
Shut off electric supplies to the heater.
Turn the fl ow on (turn the hot water tap on) in order to vent the water installation (for about 15-30 seconds),
until the fl ow of water becomes constant and even.
Turn the fl ow off (turn the hot water tap off ).
Switch on the electric supplies.
The venting process must be repeated each time after the water has been emptied from the unit or pipes.
USE
The unit is equipped with a diff erential pressure switch. lt switches heating when there is a proper water fl ow
through the unit.
FAULTS
Unit doesn't heat up the water / water temp. is too low:
Power supply failure
Water fl ow rate is too low (e.g. fi lter is blocked with impurities, improper water fl ow regulation)
There is no bridge connecting terminal clamps U and V for single phase supply
lf there is a fault in the unit, contact the nearest authorised service.
MAINTENANCE
Cut off power and cold water supplies.
Undo the fi ttings on the inlet pipe.
Take the fi lter out from the fi ttings at the cold water inlet.
Clean and install the fi lter in the former position.
Connect cold water supply pipe with the inlet pipe.
Open the cut-off valve on cold water supply pipe- check connections for leaks.
Vent the unit and water system.
