Mains operation - connecting the mains cable
Plug the mains cable into the AC 230 V~50 Hz socket on the rear of the machine.
Plug the mains cable into an easily accessible 230 V ~ 50Hz mains socket.
The machine is now ready for use.
Battery operation - inserting the batteries in the ma-
chine
The battery compartment is on the underside of the machine.
Take the cover off the battery compartment in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Insert eight 1.5 V R14/LR14/C batteries (not supplied) with the negative end resting
on the springs. Refer to the diagram in the battery compartment!
Replace the cover and close the battery compartment.
NOTICE!
If batteries are inserted and the mains cable is not connected, the machine
will automatically run on the batteries.
Switching on the machine
The machine is ready for use after it has been plugged into the mains or after batteries
have been inserted.
The machine is switched off if the C D / M P 3 / U S B / S D , TA P E , R A D I O switch
is set to the TA P E position.
Disconnection
If you do not need to use the machine for a relatively long time, please take it out of
operation. To do this, unplug the mains cable and take out the batteries.
