Cooking Tips

Defrosting
Do not completely defrost foods within the oven. Partial cooking may occur.
Always turn/move food during defrosting for more even results.
Remove any formations of ice before defrosting foodstuffs.
For fatty meat; defrost intermittently until defrosted.
Note: Thin parts of irregular shaped food may defrost quicker than other parts.
Cooking
When determining cooking time, always start with a shorter time to avoid overcooking.
If cooking eggs in the shell, pierce the shell beforehand to avoid the risk of the egg exploding.
Always turn the food during cooking to achieve even cooking.
Baked goods such as bread and pastries should only be heated until the crust is warm, as the inside
will heat considerably faster.
Foodstuffs with a high sugar or fat content should only be cooked in high temperature resistant
containers.
Always stir liquids before heating in the oven.
Always follow any instructions supplied on foodstuff packaging.
