OTHER ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
Unplug fan before cleaning or servicing.
To reduce the risk of electric shock and injury to persons, do not use
this product in a window.

his appliance has a polarized plug, meaning that one blade on the plug is
wider than the other. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or
short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet and follow
the fuse replacement steps later in this guide. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-cir-
cuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized
service facility for examination and/or repair.
Completely assemble the product for
use before plugging it into an outlet.
Make sure the power cord does not
touch any hot surfaces.
Extension cords are not recommended
for use with this appliance.
Do not plug or unplug the product
into/from the electrical outlet with wet
hands.
Discontinue any operation of the appli-
ance if the cord or plug are damaged.
To disconnect the fan from an electri-
cal outlet, ensure the product is turned
off and then pull directly on the plug;
do not pull on the Power Cord.
Do not put any stress on the power
cord where it connects to the product,
as this is likely to cause a malfunction
or safety hazard.
Always ensure the product is un-
plugged from the electrical outlet and
that all parts have stopped before
assembling, disassembling, relocating,
or cleaning it.
Do not route the cord underneath any
carpeting. Do not cover the cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar cover-
ings. Do not route the cord under
furniture or other appliances. Arrange
the cord so it is away from areas where
it could be tripped over.
For batteries used with the remote:
◊ Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
◊ Do not mix old and new batteries.
◊ Do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
