U-handle installation
Install the handle so that it does not hide any of the safety decals.
After assembly, adjust the play of wire end on carburettor side to 1 - 2 mm.
NOTE
The line on the shaft tube must be in contact with the engine (arrow on shaft tube indicates
line).
1. Bolts. 2. Shaft tube.
Stand engine upright on a level surface.
Loosen the bolts at shaft tube end of engine.
Carefully fit shaft tube to engine, making sure that the power transmission shaft is correctly
engaged.
Rotate the drive shaft housing until bearing housing is in line with the engine.
Tighten bolts.
1. Right hand grip assembly.
4. Grip assembling screw.
Install right hand grip assembly into right hand U-handle and fit it to the slot for rotation
prevention of right hand U-handle.
Fit grip assembling screw and secure the grip firmly.
1. Handle assembling bracket (upper).
3. Handle assembling bolt (8 mm).
Remove bolt retainer tube from end of handle assembling bolt (8 mm).
Install handle assembling bracket (upper) in handle assembling bracket (lower) and fix
handle by tightening handle assembling bolt (8 mm) lightly.
6. Right handle assembling bolts.

Loosen four right handle assembling bolts and insert right hand U-handle into right handle
assembling bracket. (toward direction of arrow
Fix the right hand U-handle by tightening four right handle assembling bolts lightly.
9. Adjustment of right handle inclination (left / right).
10. Adjustment of right handle inclination (forward / backward).
11. Adjustment of left handle inclination (forward / backward).
Adjust each inclination of right and left handles to adequate position (easy to operate) and
tighten firmly handle assembling bolt (8 mm) and four right handle assembling bolts.
1. Throttle cable. 2. Shaft tube.
To eliminate loosening of throttle cable fix it to shaft tube (two places) and to right hand U-
handle (one place) with cable fixing clips.
1. Wire end. 2. Nuts.
Check that throttle operates freely and returns to idle position.
Adjust the play of wire end on carburettor side to 1 - 2 mm.

Shield installation

1. Shield. 2. Angle transmission.
Fit shield to mounting portion of angle transmission and tightening four bolts (M5 X 25)
securely.
