GENERAL SECURITY
PRECAUTION
Operating this wood chipper safely is necessary to prevent or minimize the risk of death or
serious injury. Unsafe operation can create a number of dangers for you. Always take the
following precautions when trading:
Your wood chipper is a powerful tool, not a toy. Use extreme caution at all times. The
machine is designed for Chip Woods. Do not use it for any other purpose.
Know how to stop the wood chipper quickly.
Never operate your unit on a slippery, wet, muddy or icy surface. Be careful to avoid
slipping or falling.
Consult the manufacturer's instructions for proper operation and installation of
accessories.
Never use the machine without making sure all guards and shields are in place.
Never, under any conditions, remove, bend, cut, adjust, weld or otherwise alter
standard wood chipper parts. This includes all shields and guards. Modifications to your
machine could cause personal injury and property damage and will not invalidate your
warranty.
If the machine begins
disconnect the spark plug wire, keeping it away from the spark plug to prevent
accidental starting, wait 5 minutes for the engine to cool down, and then inspect for
damage. Vibration is usually a warning of trouble. Check damaged parts and clean,
repair and/or replace as needed.
Never tamper with safety devices. Check its correct operation regularly.
Before performing any maintenance or inspection procedures, turn off the engine,
disconnect the spark plug wire by keeping it away from the spark plug to prevent
accidental starting, wait 5 minutes for the machine to cool down.
Never allow people who are not familiar with these instructions to use the wood
chipper. Allow only responsible people who are familiar with these safe operating rules
to use your machine.
Never overload or attempt to chip wood beyond the manufacturer's recommendation.
It could result in personal injury or damage to the machine.
While using, don't rush or take things for granted. When you have doubts about the
equipment or your environment, stop the machine and take the time to check things
out.
Never operate the machine when under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications.
