(42) MIDI CHANNEL – use this dipswitch to set the MIDI channel (see MIDI operation below)>

(43) MIDI THRU – use this 5 pin DIN socket to feed MIDI messages received on socket 11 to external MIDI equipment.
(44) USB – use this USB 2.0 Type B socket to control the SY-1 over USB MIDI, to update firmware and to adjust the settings using the
SynthTribe app.
(45) POWER – use this switch to switch the SY-1 on or off when it is mounted in its case.
(46) DC INPUT – use this socket to connect the supplied 12 V 1000 mA PSU when the SY-1 is being used mounted in its case.
MIDI OPERATION
The SY-1 can be used in one of two MIDI modes, which are selected using the SynthTribe app over USB. The selected mode will be
remembered when the SY-1 is powered down, until it is changed by the app.
MODE 1 – uses only the MIDI channel set by the dipswitch 43. Channel 1 is triggered by MIDI note 36, and channel 2 by MIDI note 38.
There is no MIDI pitch control, so pitch will only be determined by the panel control settings. Channel 1 decay can be adjusted using MIDI
CC 80, and channel 2 using MIDI CC 81. For best results set the top panel controls 15 and 29 to their midway points.
Mode 1 can also be entered by pressing and holding the CH 1 TRIG button while powering up.
MODE 2 – Channel 1 will respond to MIDI messages on the channel selected by the dipswitch 43, while Channel 2 will respond to the next
MIDI channel up (note – if the dipswitch is set to 16 then Channel 2 will respond to MIDI channel 15, not MIDI channel 1). The pitch of each
channel can be controlled using MIDI notes 21 to 84, with decay set as in Mode 1. Notes that are out of range will sound as the lowest and
highest of the useable range.
Mode 2 can also be entered by pressing and holding the CH 2 TRIG button while powering up.
CALIBRATION AND FIRMWARE UPDATE
Press and hold the CH 1 TRIG and CH 2 TRIG buttons while powering up the SY-1. A further press of the CH 1 TRIG button initiates oscillator
calibration (CH 1 LED flashes; CH 2 LED is unlit). The SY-1 will return to normal operation when calibration is complete (both LEDs unlit).
Pressing the CH 2 TRIG button puts the SY-1 into DFU mode, where it will wait for a firmware update from a source other than the
SynthTribe app. Both LEDs will be unlit. The SY-1 will return to normal operation when the update is complete.

Las tomas 1 – 3 y 5 – 7 y los controles 4 y 8 son duplicados entre sí para los canales 1 y 2.
(1) & (5) – SALIDAS – use estas tomas TR no balanceadas de 3.5 mm para acceder a las salidas individuales de los canales 1 y 2.
(2) & (6) – AFINACIÓN – use estas tomas para ajustar la afinación del canal usando un dispositivo externo como puede ser una
pedalera. Esto es una toma TS y no da salida a un voltaje que pueda manipular la fuente externa.
(3) & (7) – DISPARADOR – use estas tomas para disparar o conmutar los canales desde una fuente de disparo externa.
(4) & (8) – SENSIBILIDAD – use estos controles para ajustar la sensibilidad de las entradas de disparador y evitar así un disparo
accidental.
(9) PHONES – use esta toma stereo de tipo TRS de 3.5 mm para monitorizar la salida del SY-1 con unos auriculares adecuados.
(10) MUTE – use esta toma para cortar el decaimiento del SY-1 con un pedal exterior.
(11) MIDI IN – use esta toma DIN de 5 puntas para controlar el SY-1 vía MIDI.
Los controles, interruptores y pilotos 12 – 25 y 26 – 39 son duplicados entre sí para los canales 1 y 2.
(12) & (26) – MODO OSC – use estos interruptores para ajustar el modo de oscilador para cada canal. Dispone de seis modos
A – Un único oscilador
B – Dos osciladores FM
C – Mezcla de dos osciladores
D – Mezcla de dos osciladores, con barrido dependiente de la fuerza del disparador en lugar de los ajustes del barrido
E – Dos osciladores FM con ruido blanco añadido
F – Solo ruido blanco
(13) & (27) – DISPARADOR – use estos botones para disparar el SY-1 sin usar una fuente de disparo externa. El piloto se iluminará cuando
un canal esté siendo disparado, interna o externamente.
(14) & (28) – AFINACIÓN – use estos controles para afinar los osciladores del SY-1 a una frecuencia concreta. El fader proporciona un
ajuste grueso, la olla fina permite un ajuste preciso.
(15) & (29) – DECAIMIENTO – use estos controles para ajustar el tiempo de decaimiento de los canales, de 6 ms a 2.5 s dependiendo del
ajuste de afinación elegido.
(16) & (30) – AMPLITUD – use estos controles para ajustar la frecuencia de corte del filtro.
