5. Commissioning and operation
5.2 Mounting instructions for EHEDG and 3-A
Observe the following instructions, especially for EHEDG-certified and 3-A marked
instruments.
For compliance with the EHEDG certification, one of the EHEDG-recommended
■
EN
process connections must be used, see marking in data sheet TW 95.61.
For compliance with 3-A conformity, a 3-A marked process connection must be used,
■
see marking in data sheet TW 95.61.
Mount the electrical thermometer, including the thermowell / protection tube, with
■
minimal dead space and able to be cleaned easily.
Mounting position of the thermowell / protection tube should be designed to be
■
self-draining.
The mounting position must not form a draining point or cause a basin to be formed.
■
5.3 Cleaning in place (CIP) cleaning process
Only use cleaning agents which are suitable for the seals used.
■
Cleaning agents must not be abrasive nor corrosively attack the materials of the
■
wetted parts.
Avoid thermal shocks or fast temperature changes. The temperature difference
■
between the cleaning agent and rinsing with clear water should be as low as
possible. Negative example: Cleaning at 80 °C [176 °F] and rinsing at 4 °C [39 °F]
with cold water.
For tank-mounted sensors the tank cleaning devices shall be positioned in such a
■
way that the sensor can be assessed and is perfectly cleaned.
