d.Open the gravel tube valve and turn on faucet.
e. Open gravel tube valve to begin vacuuming. If sand enters the gravel
tube, pls adjust the valve on the gravel tube to reduce water flow. As the
water is being removed, you can use the water changer to siphon debris
and waste from the gravel or substrate in the aquarium.Move the Gravel
Tube around the tank, allowing the suction to pick up any unwanted
materials.(Tips: Pls make sure water flow is strong enough to agitate the
gravel to suck out debris.)
Note: To effectively create a siphon effect, the water outlet should be
positioned lower than the water surface of the aquarium, the height
difference creates the necessary pressure differential for the siphoning
process to occur, as gravity will pull the water from thehigher point (the
aquarium) to the lower point (the outlet).
