Use
1. Open the product.
2. Load the product up to a maximum of 18kg.
Note: make use of the various loops, holders,
pockets and compartments for carrying food,
glasses, etc. Tripods and walking poles can be
fixed to the sides of the backpack by tightening
the cord stoppers on the elastic cords. Use the
additional side loops to fix such items extra
securely. Side belts also help to secure the
backpack.
3. If required, the product can be enlarged by
10 litres using the volume extension (1a) with
drawstring (1b).
4. If needed, use the protective rain cover
(1c) that is integrated into the base of the
backpack. Open the zip at the bottom of the
backpack, remove the cover and pull the rain
cover over the product from the front.
5. If needed, use the rain cover that is integrated
into the base of the backpack. Open the zip
at the base of the backpack, take out the rain
cover, slide the toggle up the strap and pull
the elasticated edges of the cover over the
front of the backpack.
Adjusting the hip, shoulder
and chest straps
Pack heavy items in the backpack as close to
your body as possible, so that the backpack's
centre of gravity is close to your back. This will
minimise the leverage of the load being carried.
1. Place your arms through the shoulder straps
and put the product on your back.
2. Place the hip-belt wings around your waist
with their centre at the height of your hip
bones and close the hip strap by connecting
the buckles (Fig. B). Adjust the hip belt by
pulling or pushing the ends of the straps.
Note: the hip belt carries the bulk of the weight,
and it is therefore important that the belt is
correctly positioned. If the belt is too high it will
constrict the stomach. If it is too low, the belt
wings will chafe when walking. The correct posi-
tioning is around the height of the trouser belt or
trouser button.
