5.13.3 Independently troubleshooting minor faults
Fault
The D750 cannot be switched on and
the display remains blank.
The first time that you start Windows
or after you select the Windows lan-
guage preference, the screen will re-
main black for up to four minutes.
The same behavior may occur in in-
dividual cases after a program is in-
stalled.
The D750 does not react to
any key commands.
After clicking onto the touch screen with
the stylus, the mouse pointer does not
appear at the same location
Operation by way of stylus and touch
screen is no longer possible.

Note
The capacity of the internal storage battery is not sufficient to start the D750.
Connect the external power supply unit.
During this time, you cannot tell that the D750 is turned on.
Never turn off the D750 during this time! Wait until the Windows start screen appears.
If the D750 is accidentally turned off during this time and the D750 then cannot be switched
on, a recovery process is required (see sec. 6.4).
1. Press and hold the ON button for 10 seconds.
2. Switch on the D750 again.
This switch-off procedure is only to be employed if the D750 will not react to any key being
pressed, as it may result in loss of data on the hard disk if it is implemented during regular
operation. Data created in the course of this diagnostic application may have to be entered
again.
Touch screen calibration must be performed.
In the start bar under "START >> Programs >> HIDeGalaxTouch", call up the menu "HIDe-
GalaxTouch", see Section 5.8.2

Check the virtual keyboard settings. Select the Tools tab and then the menu item "Options".
