Refer to chapter 2 for further details and instructions on appliance positioning and
installation.
Connect the electrical plug to a wall socket with a regular upstream earth leakage
circuit breaker.
Ensure that the cord does not come into contact with hot parts and that it is not
subjected to excessive bending or kinking.
Press the [0/1] switch to start up the appliance.
Wait 15 minutes until moderate heat can be felt when placing your hand a few
centimetres from the heating surface. This process aids the spontaneous removal of
protective substances from internal parts and makes it possible to check for any
factory defects.
Upon completion of the check, switch off the appliance by pressing the [0/1]
switch.
5.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Use of the product involves placing damp clothes on the appliance, which, once
switched on, ensures the rapid evaporation of any residual moisture, faster drying and
better preservation of the garments. In most cases, drying the garments as guaranteed
by the appliance reduces the need for the garments to be ironed, especially in the case
of synthetic and delicate fabrics.
To use the appliance, place the damp clothes on the heating surface rods, bearing in
mind the following:
The garments must be hung damp and not soaked: excessively wet garments
render the appliance ineffective, and its use superfluous. If necessary, remove
some of the moisture by subjecting the garments to a spin cycle or shaking
them off outside.
The more widely hung the garments, the better they dry: double or triples
layers of fabric, overlapping garments or excessively folded garments may
even substantially increase the amount of time required to fully dry them.
Garments dyed through non-industrial processes may experience colour
transfer or fading during the drying process, due to the higher temperature
of the aluminium rods with the appliance switched on.
The proper balance of the appliance must always be a primary consideration:
the garments must be arranged as symmetrically as possible, balancing the
weight and seeking to maintain the barycentre of the loaded appliance as
close as possible to the centre of the occupied volume.
