SECTION 1: IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING: This device contains electrical connections and moving parts that may pose a risk to
the user. To reduce the risk of serious injury when using your device, the following basic safety
precautions should be followed:
READ AND KEEP ALL INSTRUCTIONS, SAFETY RULES AND WARNINGS BEFORE USING THIS
APPLIANCE
Failure to follow any of the safety rules and instructions for safe use may create a risk of serious
injury and void your warranty.
1. Read all instructions carefully. Save this manual for later.
2. Carefully read and follow all warnings and instructions.
3. Take your time and be careful when unpacking and setting up the device. This appliance
contains sharp blades that can cause injury if misused.
4. Before using the device for the first time, make sure that all packaging material and
promotional stickers have been removed.
5. Do not allow children to operate this device or use it as a toy. Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used near children.
6. Make sure that children cannot play with the packaging material.
7. This appliance is intended to be used in a domestic environment and for commercial purposes
such as: staff kitchens, shops, offices, farms, (customers in) hotels, motels, bed & breakfast and
other residential environments.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
9. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
10. This appliance should not be used by children between 0 and 16 years of age. This appliance
can be used by children aged 16 and over if they are continuously supervised. Cleaning and user
maintenance must not be carried out by children.
11. Keep the appliance and the cord out of the reach of children under 16 years of age.
12. The appliance must be unplugged when not in use, during maintenance and when replacing
parts. Let the appliance cool down before adding or removing parts and before cleaning the
appliance.

bowl, when emptying the bowl and when cleaning the appliance.

surfaces, but only the handles of the device to avoid burns.
17. To avoid electric shock or burns, do not immerse the housing, cord or plug in water or any
other liquid.
18. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the counter or touch hot surfaces.
19. Do not use this device for any purpose other than its intended use.
20. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is in operation.
