CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Turn off and unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
Clean the appliance after each use to prevent an accumulation of
grease and avoid unpleasant odours.
IMPORTANT: Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in
water or any other liquid.
Exterior Surfaces
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry
thoroughly.
Basket & Crisping tray
When the appliance is cool enough to touch safely, grab the handle
of the basket to pull it out of the appliance body.
Remove the crisping tray from the basket. Dispose of crumbs.
Clean both the basket and crisping tray with a cloth in warm soapy
water.
• For stubborn grease, soak in warm to hot soapy water for 1 hour
before cleaning. Use a sponge or soft cleaning brush to remove
stains.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. Never use abrasive or chemical cleaning
agents.
Cleaning the inside of the appliance
Clean the inside of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry
with a soft dry cloth. If required, lightly brush the heating element
to remove any attached food residue.
Surfaces in contact with food should be cleaned regularly to avoid
cross contamination from different types of food, the use of a damp
cloth is advisable when dealing with surfaces that come into contact
with food.
Correct food hygiene practices should always be followed at all times
to avoid possibility of food poisoning /cross contamination.
